It is with great pleasure that we announce that Aromas Itinerarium Salutis – the European Route of Historic Pharmacies and Medicinal Gardens has received a prestigious certification and has become an official Cultural Route of the Council of Europe!
JGL Pharmacy Museum has been a partner in the project for several years, and last year we hosted the 2nd International forum “Hygeia Legacy”, which brought together experts in the field of history of pharmacy, museology, tourism and medicinal plants from numerous European countries.
The European Route of Historic Pharmacies and Medicinal Gardens is a unique route that connects significant places such as monastery pharmacies, old hospital and lay pharmacies, historical libraries, and botanical and medicinal gardens.
Currently, the Route of Historic Pharmacies and Medicinal Gardens connects partners from 11 European countries (Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, France, Italy, Lithuania, Hungary, Portugal, Romania, Spain and Switzerland).
