Spring has finally arrived in our Garden of Health! Enjoy the intoxicating scents of medicinal and other herbs, but don’t forget to study the interesting graphics about their properties. We called this exhibition unit Hortus sanitatis or the Garden of Health, another synonym for medicinal herbs. (H)ortus sanitatis incunable (woodblock print) is one of the first encyclopaedias of natural history attributed to the German physician Johannes de Cuba, published in 1491 in Mainz, which became a reference work on the medicinal properties of plants.
