Cod liver oil is a valuable source of omega-3 fatty acids and vitamins A and D, and numerous studies have been written about its beneficial effects on health. Well aware of this fact, Rijeka’s pharmacists Giovanni Prodam and Ernesto Benco offered it to their customers at the end of the 19th century!
